Refund Policy

1. Booking Cancellations

At Mad Nomad, we understand that plans can change. Our refund policy for booking cancellations is as follows:

  • More than 60 days before departure: Full refund minus the booking deposit (30% of total tour cost);
  • 59-30 days before departure: 50% refund of the total tour cost;
  • 29-15 days before departure: 25% refund of the total tour cost;
  • 14 days or less before departure: No refund will be provided.

All cancellation requests must be submitted in writing to info@madnomads.in. The date of receipt of the cancellation request will be used to calculate the cancellation fee.

2. Trip Cancellations by Mad Nomad

In the rare event that Mad Nomad needs to cancel a trip due to unforeseen circumstances (such as natural disasters, political instability, or insufficient participation), we will offer you the following options:

  • A full refund of all payments made to Mad Nomad for the cancelled trip;
  • Credit toward a future trip with Mad Nomad, valid for 24 months from the date of cancellation;
  • Transfer to an alternative trip of comparable value, subject to availability.

Mad Nomad is not responsible for any incidental expenses or consequential losses that you may have incurred as a result of the booking such as visas, vaccinations, non-refundable flights or rail, non-refundable car parking or other fees, loss of earnings, or loss of enjoyment, etc.

3. Refund Process

Once a refund has been approved, the process will be as follows:

  • Refunds will be processed back to the original payment method used for the booking;
  • Processing time for refunds is typically 7-14 business days, depending on your payment provider;
  • You will receive an email confirmation once the refund has been processed.

4. Partial Services & Unused Services

No refund will be provided for any unused or partially used services (such as accommodation, transport, activities, meals, etc.) due to your voluntary withdrawal, illness, early departure, or any other reason. If you choose to withdraw from a tour after it has begun, no refunds will be made for unused portions of the tour.

5. Special Circumstances

In certain exceptional circumstances, we may consider refunds outside of our standard policy. These will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis and may require supporting documentation:

  • Medical emergencies: Serious illness or injury preventing travel (medical certificate required);
  • Bereavement: Death of an immediate family member;
  • Natural disasters: Affecting your place of residence;
  • Government travel advisories: Warning against travel to the destination.

6. Travel Insurance

We strongly recommend that all travelers purchase comprehensive travel insurance that includes trip cancellation coverage. A good travel insurance policy can help recover costs if you need to cancel your trip due to covered reasons.

7. Changes to This Policy

Mad Nomad reserves the right to modify this refund policy at any time. Any changes will be effective immediately upon posting the updated policy on our website. The policy that was in effect at the time of your booking will apply to your reservation.
